Things to do in Columbia Falls:
Nearby recreation includes Big Sky Water Park and Amazing Fun Center with a maze, miniature gold, bumper boats and go carts.  There are river rafting guide companies that will take you on an awesome guided whitewater ride for a full day or half day trip.  Several are: Wild River Adventures , Glacier Guides , Montana Raft Company , Glacier Outdoor Center and Great Northern Whitewater.  Golfers can live in a great home and tee off at Meadow Lake Golf Course.  Winter brings a whole new arena of recreation from skiing at nearby Whitefish Mountain Resort or taking out a snowmobile for a guided ride through scenic terrain with J & L Snowmobile Rentals in town.  In nearby Hungry Horse, walk across the Hungry Horse Dam & Reservoir.  The annual “Heritage Days” is a local celebration with music, food vendors, a 3 on 3 basketball tournament and car show.

Restaurants:
Breakfast and lunch is a delight at Montana Coffee Trader’s Columbia Falls location.  Newly opened is the Three Forks Grille centrally located on Nucleus, the main street through the village.  If you want the old mainstay with a waiting line every weekend for the fry bread and barbecue, then head on over to the Back Room at the Nite Owl.

Columbia Falls School district educates about 850 children through two elementary schools, a junior high and a high school encompassing School District 6.
