Swan Lake is advantageously nestled between the Mission and Swan Mountain Ranges, providing excellent mountain views from both the east and west shores. Located within 15 minutes of Bigfork, MT from the north side and about 25 from the south bay, this lake is a haven for pristine waterfront living. About eight miles long, Swan Lake is over 3,200 acres at an elevation of 3,198 feet, with an average depth of 52 feet and a maximum depth of 133 feet. There is one public access site with boat ramp and waterfront beach which sits across from the campground. The village of Swan Lake boasts an annual Huckleberry Festival in August.
The forested shoreline property of Swan Lake is dotted with cabins and upscale homes and would be considered mostly developed real estate although there are still a fair number of unimproved lots for sale on both the eastshore and westshore. Owners on both sides claim there’s is the best side, so the conclusion is they both must be pretty great.
